Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 136 — from the Prophet ﷺ; he said: I said: O
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ زَعَمُوا أَنَّكَ قُلْتَ: «سَيْكَفُرُ قَوْمٌ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ» ، قَالَ: «أَجَلْ، وَلَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ» فَتُوُفِّيَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ قَبْلَ قَتْلِ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); he said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! People claim that you said: "Some people will disbelieve after their faith." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, and you are not one of them." The narrator said: Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away before the killing of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him).
