حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ، ثنا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ فَبَسَطَ كَفَّهُ الْيُمْنَى فَقَالَ: «بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ هَذَا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ بِأَسْمَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِهِمْ، وَقَبَائِلِهِمْ، وَعَشَائِرِهِمْ، لَا يُزَادُ فِيهِمْ، وَلَا يُنْقَصُ مِنْهُمْ» ، ثُمَّ بَسَطَ كَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى، فَقَالَ: «بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ هَذَا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ لِأَهْلِ النَّارِ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِهِمْ، وَقَبَائِلِهِمْ، وَعَشَائِرِهِمْ لَا يُزَادُ فِيهِمْ، وَلَا يُنْقَصُ مِنْهُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, spread out his right palm and said: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is a book from Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, in which are recorded the names of the people of Paradise, the names of their fathers, their tribes and their clans; nothing will be added to them and nothing taken away from them." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) spread out his left palm and said: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is a book from Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, for the people of Hell, in which are recorded their names, the names of their fathers, their tribes and their clans; nothing will be added to them and nothing taken away from them."
