Mujahid from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13441 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَتَّبِعَ جِنَازَةً فِيهَا رَانَّةٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us to follow a funeral in which there is wailing.
