حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، أنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَمْنَعُوا النِّسَاءَ الْمَسَاجِدَ بِاللَّيْلِ» فَقَالَ ابْنُهُ: وَاللهِ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ فَمَدَّ يَدَهُ فَلَطَمَهُ، وَقَالَ: «أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ مَا تَقُولُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not prevent the women from the mosques at night." Thereupon his son said: By Allah, we will certainly prevent them. At this he stretched out his hand, slapped him and said: "I narrate to you the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and you say this?"
