Ubayd bin Umayr from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13386 — I heard a man say to Ibn Umar
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْبَكْرِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ، عَنْ طُفَيْلِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنِّي لَأَمْزَحُ، وَلَا أَقُولُ إِلَّا حَقًّا؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ
Ubayd bin Umayr narrated: I heard a man say to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "I joke, but I say nothing except the truth"? He said: Yes.
