حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْمُجَدَّرُ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: سَبَّقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ، وَسَبَّقَ الْقُرَّحَ فِي الْغَايَةِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held a race between horses, and he had the qarih (fully mature) horses race to the (farther) limit.
