Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13269 — The Prophet ﷺ was asked: Who is the best
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَمَّالُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ رُسْتَةُ، ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، ثنا نَافِعُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: «أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Who is the best of people? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one among them who is best in character."
