Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13191 — The Prophet ﷺ put out the eyes
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْأَعْرَجُ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا سَمَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْيُنَ الْعِرْنِينَ لِأَنَّهُمْ سَمَلُوا أَعْيُنَ الرُّعَاةِ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put out the eyes of the Uraniyyin only because they had put out the eyes of the herdsmen."
