Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13166 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، ثنا قَتَادَةُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلُ الرَّهَاوِيَّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتَ أَبَا حَاضِرٍ يُحَدِّثَ عَنِ الْوَضِينِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «يَدْخُلُ فُقَرَاءُ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ أَغْنِيَائِهِمْ بِأَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا» قُلْتُ: صِفْهُمْ لَنَا قَالَ: «هُمُ الدَّسِمَةُ ثِيَابُهُمْ، الشَّعِثَةُ رُءُوسُهُمْ، الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ عَلَى السُّدَّاتِ، وَلَا يَنْكِحُونَ الْمُتَمَنِّعَاتِ، يُوَكَّلُ بِهِمْ مَشَارِقُ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبُهَا، يُعْطُونَ كُلَّ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ، وَلَا يُعْطَوْنَ كُلَّ الَّذِي لَهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The poor of my Ummah will enter Paradise forty years before its rich." I said: Describe them to us. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are those whose clothes are soiled and whose hair is dishevelled, who are not given permission at doors, and who are not able to marry wealthy women; the easts and wests of the earth will be entrusted to them; they give all that is due from them, but they are not given all that is due to them."
