حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اقْتُلُوا الْحَيَّاتِ فَمَنْ وَجَدَ ذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ، وَالْأَبْتَرَ فَلَمْ يَقْتُلْهُمَا، فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا، فَإِنَّهُمَا اللَّذَانِ يَخْطِفَانِ الْبَصَرَ، وَيُسْقِطَانِ مَا فِي بُطُونِ النِّسَاءِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Kill snakes. Whoever finds the one with two stripes and the short-tailed one and does not kill them is not one of us, for these two snatch away the eyesight and cause women to miscarry what is in their wombs."
