Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 131 — I heard Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah say: That I

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ، ثنا حَزْمُ بْنُ أَبِي حَزْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: «لَأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَأَنْقَطِعَ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَكُونَ شَرِكْتُ فِي دَمِ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ»
Abu al-Aswad said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "That I should fall from the sky and be torn to pieces is dearer to me than that I should have had a share in the blood of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him)."
