حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَعْظَمِ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبًا فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ تَقْسِمُهُ الْغَدَاةَ، وَنُورًا تَهْدِي، وَرَحْمَةً تَنْشُرُهَا، وَرِزْقًا تَبْسُطُهُ، وَضُرًّا تَكْشِفُهُ، وَبَلَاءً تَرْفَعُهُ، وَفِتْنَةً تَصْرِفُهَا»
Abdullah bin Sabrah narrates that when morning came, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would say: "O Allah, make me, among Your servants, the one with the greatest share of every good that You distribute in the morning, of the light by which You guide, of the mercy that You spread, of the provision that You extend, of the harm that You remove, of the affliction that You lift, and of the trial that You avert."
