حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السُّرُحِ، قَالَا: ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، ثنا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَعِنْدَهُ عَلِيٌّ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا عَلِيُّ سَيَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي قَوْمٌ يَنْتَحِلُونَ حُبَّنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ لَهُمْ نَبَزٌ يُسَمَّوْنَ الرَّافِضَةَ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ، فَإِنَّهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present with him (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ali, soon there will be a people in my nation who will claim love for us, the People of the House. They will have a nickname; they will be called 'the Rafidah'. So fight and kill them, for they are polytheists."
