Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12914 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The best

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زِمَامٍ الْعَلَّافُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ، ثنا شُبَيْلُ بْنُ عَزْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ عَبْدُ الْقَيْسِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of the people of the East are Abd al-Qays."
