حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ تَمَامٍ، ثنا أَبُو جَمْرَةَ نَصْرُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «مِنْ إِكْفَاءِ الدِّينِ تَصَفُّحُ النَّبَطِ، وَاتِّخَاذُهُمُ الْقُصُورَ فِي الْأَمْصَارِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out saying: "Part of the overturning of the religion is that the Nabataeans start scrutinising (affairs), and that they take palaces in the cities."
