Al-Nadr bin Anas from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12844 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً فِي الدُّنْيَا كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever makes an image in this world will be compelled on the Day of Resurrection to breathe a soul into it, yet he will not be able to do so."
