Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12765 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade eating

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ، وَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، بِلُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ أَنْ تُؤْكَلَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both); he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating the meat of donkeys, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the meat of horses be eaten."
