Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12686 — the Prophet ﷺ said to Quraysh: O people

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي حَسَّانَ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، وَشَيْبَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِقُرَيْشٍ: «يَا مَعْشَرَ قُرَيْشٍ لَا خَيْرَ فِي أَحَدٍ يَعْبُدُ مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ» ، فَقَالُوا: أَلَسْتَ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ عِيسَى كَانَ نَبِيًّا، وَكَانَ عَبْدًا صَالِحًا إِنْ كُنْتَ صَادِقًا إِنَّهُ لَكَآلِهَتِهِمْ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ} [الزخرف: ٥٧] يَضِجُّونَ، {وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ} [الزخرف: ٦١] خُرُوجُ عِيسَى قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Quraysh: "O people of Quraysh! There is no good in anyone who worships anything besides Allah." They said: Do you not claim that Isa was a prophet and a righteous servant? If you are truthful, then he too is like their (worshipped) gods. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: "And when the son of Maryam was presented as an example, at once your people raised an outcry over it" [Al-Zukhruf: 57], meaning they began to shout and clamour, "And indeed, he is a sign of the Hour" [Al-Zukhruf: 61], meaning the descent of Isa (peace be upon him) before the Day of Resurrection (is its sign).
