حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَاجِيَةَ، ثنا الْمُنْذِرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْجَارُودِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا أَبْقَتْ غِنًى، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best charity is that after which (the giver's) sufficiency remains, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin with those whom you support."
