Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12620 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray four

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ مُبَشِّرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَرْكَعُ قَبْلَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَرْبَعًا، وَبَعْدَهَا أَرْبَعًا لَا يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُنَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray four rak'ahs before the Friday prayer and four rak'ahs after it, without ending with the salam between them.
