أبو ظبيان عن ابن عباس
Abu Zabyan from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12562 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ثنا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ قَابُوسَ بْنِ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ يَعْلَمُ صَاحِبُ الْمَسْأَلَةِ مَا لَهُ فِيهَا لَمْ يَسْأَلْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If the one who begs knew what (harm) there is for him in it, he would never beg."
