Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12444 — A man from the Jews called al-Nabbash

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: A man from the Jews called al-Nabbash bin Qays said: Your Lord is miserly; He does not spend. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: "The Jews say: The Hand of Allah is chained. Chained are their hands, and they are cursed for what they said. Rather, both His Hands are extended; He spends however He wills" [Al-Ma'idah: 64].
