Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1243 — I came to Tamim al-Dari while he was

Rawh bin Zinba' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I came to Tamim al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was the governor of Bayt al-Maqdis, and he was sifting barley for his horse. I said: O governor, do you not have someone who could do this for you? He said: No, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever sifts barley for his horse, then stands with it until he hangs the feed bag on it, Allah records for him a good deed for every grain of barley."
