حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ الْعَيْشِيُّ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ، عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَمَسَحَ صَدْرِي، وَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ آتِهِ الْحِكْمَةَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I spent the night at the home of my maternal aunt Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up at night to pray, so I stood on his (peace and blessings be upon him) left. He (peace and blessings be upon him) took me by the hand and stood me on his right, passed his hand over my chest and said: "O Allah, grant him wisdom."
