Said bin Jubayr from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12410 — Allah Almighty made the prayer
حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السِّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «افْتَرَضَ اللهُ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَضَرِ أَرْبَعًا، وَفِي السَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: "Allah Almighty made the prayer obligatory by the tongue of His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): four rak'ahs when resident and two rak'ahs when travelling."
