Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12408 — Declaring (something) unlawful

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ رَاشِدٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «الْحَرَامُ يَمِينٌ»
وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ»
وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: "Declaring (something) unlawful is an oath."
And Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said (as evidence for it): "Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) you have an excellent example."
