حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ، وَكَانَتْ لَيْلَتُهَا، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي، فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَأَخَذَ بِذُؤَابَتِي، أَوْ بِشَعْرِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I spent the night at the house of my maternal aunt Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), and it was her night (in turn). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to pray, and I stood on his (peace and blessings be upon him) left. He (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of my forelock, or (the narrator is unsure) my hair, and made me stand on his right.
