Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: "My maternal aunt Umm Hufayd gifted the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ghee, dried curd (aqit) and dabb (a desert lizard-like animal). He (peace and blessings be upon him) ate some of the ghee and the curd, and left the dabb out of distaste. Had it been unlawful, it would not have been eaten at the dining cloth of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
