Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) took the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Jamrat al-Aqabah, and Satan appeared before him; he threw seven pebbles at him and he sank into the ground. Then he came to the farthest Jamrah, and Satan appeared before him again; he threw seven pebbles at him.
When Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) intended to slaughter Sayyiduna Ishaq (peace be upon him), he said to his father: "When you slaughter me, move away from me, lest I struggle and my blood splash on you." So he tied him up. When he took the blade and wanted to slaughter him, he was called from behind: "O Ibrahim, you have fulfilled the vision" [Surah al-Saffat: 105].
