حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ الْوَشَّاءُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْأَفْطَسِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «لَا يُصَلِّي فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that on the two Eids the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not offer any (voluntary) prayer either before the prayer or after it.
