It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man said: O Messenger of Allah! Is there anything in supplication that is not rejected? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes. Say: 'I ask You by Your Name, the Highest, the Mightiest, the Most Majestic and the Most Generous.'"
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) took a ritual bath (ghusl) from a single vessel after major impurity (janabah), and both performed ablution (wudu) together for the prayer.
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels do not come with good to a person in a state of major impurity (junub), nor to a person smeared with khaluq (perfume), until the two of them take a ritual bath."
