حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عِكْرِمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنَّهُ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ، وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ، وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Dhu al-Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, al-Juhfah for the people of Syria, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen.
