حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الشَّحَّامِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَتْ خَمْرَتُنا يَوْمَئِذٍ الْفَضِيخَ، وَحُرِّمَتْ يَوْمَ حُرِّمَتْ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا فَضِيخُكُمْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Our wine in those days was fadikh (the juice of crushed dates), and on the day it was made unlawful, it was nothing but this fadikh of yours."
