حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةُ ثَابِتٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: وَاللهِ مَا أَعْيَبُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خُلُقٍ، وَلَا دِينٍ، وَلَكِنْ أَكْرَهُ الْكُفْرَ بَعْدَ الْإِسْلَامِ، قَالَ: «فَتَرُدِّينَ عَلَيْهِ حَدِيقَتَهُ؟» قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «يَا ثَابِتُ اقْبَلِ الْحَدِيقَةَ، وَطَلِّقْهَا تَطْلِيقَةً»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The wife of Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "By Allah! I do not find fault with him in his character or his religion, but I dislike kufr (ingratitude) after Islam." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Will you return his garden to him?" She said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Thabit! Accept the garden, and give her one divorce."
