حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، ثنا هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْتَفَتَ إِلَى أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ أُحُدًا هَذَا يُحَوَّلُ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ذَهَبًا، أُنْفِقُهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَمُوتُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَأَدَعُ مِنْهُ دِينَارَيْنِ إِلَّا دِينَارَيْنِ أُعِدُّهُمَا لِدَيْنٍ إِنْ كَانَ عَلِيَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards Uhud and said: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul! It would not please me that this Uhud were turned into gold for the family of Muhammad, which I spend in the path of Allah, and that on the day I die I leave behind two dinars of it, except two dinars that I keep aside for a debt, if I have any debt."
