حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ، يَرْفَعُ الْحَدِيثَ فِيمَا أَرَى إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ تَرَكَ الْحَيَّاتِ مَخَافَةَ طَلَبِهِنَّ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) as a marfu' report (according to the narrator's view, Ikrimah narrated it as marfu'): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves snakes alone for fear of their pursuit is not one of us."
