حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَزَّانُ، ثنا فِهْرٌ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُوسَى بْنِ وَجِيهٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَمْ يُحَرِّمْ كِرَاءَ الْأَرْضِ، وَلَكِنَّهُ أَمَرَ بِمَكَارِمِ الْأَخْلَاقِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not forbid renting out land; rather, he ordered the adoption of noble character.
