Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11679 — The Companions said: O Messenger

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! What about those who died while they were praying towards Bayt al-Maqdis?" Thereupon Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: "And Allah would never let your faith go to waste. Indeed, Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to people."
