حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ كديرٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ يُسَبِّحُونَ فِي غَدِيرٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لِيُسَبِّحْ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ» فَسَبَّحَ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ وَبَقِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، فَسَبَّحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ حَتَّى عَانَقَهُ، وَقَالَ: «أَنَا إِلَى صَاحِبِي أَنَا إِلَى صَاحِبِي»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions were swimming in a pond, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let each man among you swim to his companion." So each man swam to his companion, and only the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) remained. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) swam to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) until he embraced him, and said: "I am to my companion, I am to my companion."
