حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَائِشَةُ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهَا يَغْتَسِلَانِ منْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ فيتنازعانِ الْمَاءَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) used to take the ritual bath (ghusl) from a single vessel, each trying to get to the water ahead of the other.
