Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11409 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الشَّامِيُّ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا تَخَفَّفَتْ أُمَّتِي بِالْخِفَافِ ذَاتِ الْمَنَاقِبِ الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ وخَصَفُوا نِعَالَهُمْ تَخَلَّى اللهُ مِنْهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the men and women of my Ummah begin wearing decorated leather socks and patching their sandals, Allah will turn away from them."
