Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Among the supplications that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made during the Farewell Hajj was this: "O Allah, You hear my words, You see my place, and You know what I conceal and what I make public; nothing of my affairs is hidden from You. I am the wretched, the needy, the one seeking aid, the one seeking refuge, the fearful, the apprehensive, the one who confesses and acknowledges his sin. I ask You as the destitute and helpless one asks, I implore You as the abased sinner implores, and I call upon You as the helpless, frightened one calls - one whose neck is bowed before You, whose eyes flow with tears for You, whose body is humbled before You, and whose nose is rubbed in the dust before You. O Allah, do not make me unfortunate in supplicating to You, and be ever merciful to me, O best of those who are asked and O best of those who give!"
