حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخُوَارِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ: بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «يَأْكُلُ عَرْقًا أَتَاهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَوَضَعَهُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَمْ يَمَسَّ مَاءً»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was eating meat off a bone when the mu'adhdhin came to him. He (peace and blessings be upon him) put the bone down, then stood up for the prayer, and did not touch water (that is, he did not perform a fresh ablution).
