حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا أَبُو جَمِيلَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بَعَثَ بُدَيْلَ بْنَ وَرْقَاءَ بِمِنًى فَنَادَى إِنَّ هَذِهِ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ، فَلَا تَصُومُوها»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Budayl bin Warqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) to Mina, and he announced: These are days of eating and drinking, so do not fast on them.
