Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11130 — A man from Kufah asked Sayyiduna Ibn

A man from Kufah asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about nabidh made in earthenware jars. So Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) put his two fingers in his ears and said: May these two become deaf if I lie against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I heard him say: "Clay (vessels for nabidh) are all forbidden, whether white, red, black or green."
