Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11114 — the Jews used to say: This world

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Jews used to say: This world is seven thousand years long, and we will be punished in the Fire only one day for every thousand years, so in total it comes to just seven numbered days. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed concerning that: "And they say: The Fire will never touch us except for a few numbered days" [Al-Baqarah: 80] up to "they will abide therein forever" [Al-Baqarah: 81].
