Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11098 — the Prophet ﷺ said: I do not ask you

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا قَزَعَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَى مَا أَتَيْتُكُمْ مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى أَجْرًا إِلَّا أَنْ تُوادُّوا اللهَ، وَتَقَرَّبُوا إِلَيْهِ بِطَاعَتِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not ask you for any reward for the clear proofs and guidance that I have brought you, except that you love Allah and draw near to Him through obedience to Him."
