حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بِلَالٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، ثنا مِنْدَلٌ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يُوَقِّرِ الْكَبِيرَ، وَيَرْحَمِ الصَّغِيرَ، وَيَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَيَنْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not honour the elder, show mercy to the young, enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, is not one of us."
