Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11029 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Before

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا صَالِحٌ التِّرْمِذِيُّ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ، فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا مُؤْمِنًا، وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا، وَيُمْسِي مُؤْمِنًا، وَيُصْبِحُ كَافِرًا يَبِيعُ فِيهَا قَوْمٌ دِينَهُمْ بِعَرَضٍ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Before the Hour there will be trials like pieces of the dark night; a man will be a believer in the morning and a disbeliever in the evening, and a believer in the evening and a disbeliever in the morning. Some people will sell their religion for a small amount of worldly goods."
