Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to Banu Qurayzah, he was riding a donkey, and with him (peace and blessings be upon him) was Jibril (peace be upon him) riding a white mule, under which was a cloth of istabraq (silk brocade) with tasselled edges. Then they travelled for a while, and Jibril (peace be upon him) said: O Muhammad! By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not dismount from it until victory is granted to you. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "So he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not return until victory was granted to him (peace and blessings be upon him)."
